Задание 1. Прочтите текст и ответьте на следующие вопросы:

1. When do students get degrees of Bachelor of Science?

2. When do students get a master's degree?

 

1. After four years of study students get the degrees of Bachelor of Science.

2. After a year or two of further study they get a master's degree.

 

Задание 2. Переведите в письменной форме абзацы 1, 2, 4.

 

1. Young people in the USA get higher education in colleges and universities. Students choose "major" subject and make many courses in this subject.

2. After four years of study students get the degrees of Bachelor of Science (B. Sc), Bachelor of Philosophy (B. Phil.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A., if they study Greek or Latin). After a year or two of further study they get a master's degree. If they go on in their study and research, they will get a still higher degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D).

4. College students often continue their study at universities. Not all the students get grants. The minimum period of study is two years (in this case they don't get the degree of Ph. D.), three or even four years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Молодые люди в США  получают высшее образование  в колледжах и университетах. Студенты выбирают "основной" предмет и сдают много курсов  по этому предмету.

2. После четырех лет  обучения студенты получают степеней  бакалавра наук, бакалавра философии  или бакалавра искусств (если  они будут учить греческий  или латинский). Через год или  два дальнейшего изучения они  получают степень магистра. Если  они продвигаются в их изучении  и исследовании, они получают  еще более высокую степень  доктора философии.

4. Студенты часто продолжают  свою учебу в университетах. Не  все студенты получают гранты. Минимальный 

срок обучения составляет два года (в этом случае они не получают степень Доктора Философии), три или даже четыре года.

 

Задание 3. Выберите нужную форму глагола to be и переведите предложения на русский язык:

1. School education in the USA (is, was, will be) free.

2. They (are, were, will be) second-year students last year.

3. History (is, was, will be) the first lesson tomorrow.

Задание 4. Напишите предложения в вопросительной, а затем в отрицательной форме и переведите их на русский язык:

1. They have five lessons every day.

2. We had four exams last term.

3. Students will have a lecture on history tomorrow.

 

1. They have five lessons every day. У них пять уроков каждый день.

How they learned every day? Сколько у них уроков каждый день?

They have five lessons every day. У них нет пяти уроков каждый день.

2. We had four exams last term. У нас было четыре экзамена в последнем семестре.

How many exams we had last term? Сколько экзаменов было у нас в последнем семестре?

We hadn’t four exams last term. У нас не было четырех экзаменов в последнем семестре.

3. Students will have a lecture on history tomorrow. Завтра у студентов будет лекция по истории.

When students will have a lecture on history? Когда у студентов будет лекция по истории?

Students will not be a lecture on history tomorrow. Завтра у студентов не будет лекции по истории.

 

Задание 5. Поставьте глаголы, данные в скобках, в Past Indefinite Tense (прошедшее неопределенное время)

1. Не (to get) a degree in chemistry last year.

2. I (to pass) my entrance exams successfully a few days ago.

3. They (to read) many books on management last term.

Задание 6. Составьте три предложения, используя слова, данные в колонках, и переведите их на русский язык:

Задание 7. Заполните пропуски предлогами по смыслу:

My Biography

 

1. Let me introduce myself. My name is Igor. My surname is Perevozchikov.
2. I was born in 1992 in Sokol, Vologda Region.
3. My family is large.

There are five of us: my mother, father, sister, grandmother

 and me.

My sister works in a bank. My mother work as a salesman. My father work in at the factory.

4. Now I work in at the factory.

I am an worker.

5. I decided to continue my education and entered the Vologda State University.

My future specialty is connected with Protection in Emergency Situations.

6. In 5 years I will graduate from the University having received higher education.
7. We have several subjects at the University, namely:

Higher Mathematics, English, special subjects and others.

8. Usually I don’t have much free time. But I have some hobbies.

My hobbies are: listening to music, watching films.

As for music, I prefer pop, club music and rap.

I go in for sport. My favorite kinds of sport are: ping-pong.
