The United Kingdom occupies a territory of the British Isles. The UK consists of 4 parts: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and every part has its national emblem. The capitals of the 4 parts are London, Edinburg, Cardiff, and Belfast. The island of Great Britain can be divided into 2 main regions: Lowland Britain and Highland Britain. Many rivers are flowing trough Great Britain. The population of the UK is over 57 million people. The official language in English, but some people continue speaking mother tongue. The flag of the UK is made up of 3 crosses of the patron saints. The UK is a constitutional monarchy. The Head of the state is the Queen who reigns with the support of Parlament. For a long time the UK has succeeded in remaining one of the important commercial centers of the world. Now days the UK doesn’t depend upon economics and undustrial manufacturing of other countries. London is the capital of UK with the population of 7 million people. London can be divided into 3 parts: the City, the West End and East End. The City the heart of London with numerous banks and offices.

The City the heart of London with numerous banks and offices. The West End the centre of London includes historical palaces, famous parks, hotels and shops. The East End the workers region is made up of great industrial areas that depend on shipping.

 

The Russian Federation is the worlds largest country is area. It extends from the Arctic Ocean to Black Sea, and from Baltic Sea to the Pacific Ocean. It is located in Europe and Asia. The surface of Russia is various. There are different climatic zones on the vast area of our country. Russia has abundant natural resources. The population of Russian flag was adopted in 1991. Moscow is the capital of Russia. It was founded in 1147 as a fortress on the Moskwa river. Modern Moscow is one of Russias major industrial cities with the population of 9 million people. Moscow is a political centre where the government of our country works. Moscow is known for its beautiful cathedrals, monuments, theatres, museums, etc. Moscow is the city of higher educational institutions. All people of Russia are pround of their magnificent and beautiful capital. More than a decade after callops of the Soviet Union in 1991, Russia is now trying to develop a market economy. Russia remains heavily dependent on exports of commodities, particularly oil, natural gas, metals.

 

Education includes different kinds of learning experiences. Informal education involves people in learning during their daily life. Education is also informal when people try to get information or to learn skills on their own initiative without a teacher. To do so people may visit library or museum, watch a television show or listen to a radio programme. In most countries people enter a system of formal education during their childhood. Then learners study those things the exams. At the end of their learning, learners may earn a deplome, a certificate, or degree. The school system of all modern nations provide the general and vocation education. Primary school pupils are taught skills they will use throughout their life, such as reading, writing, and arithmetic. In most countries all young people continue their general education in secondary schools. The aim of vocation education is primarily to prepare the students for a job.

 

Science covers the board field of knowledge that deals with facts and the relationship among these facts. Scientists study a wide variety of subjects. Scientists use systematic methods of study to make observations and collect facts. They develop theories that help them order and unify facts. Scientific theories consist of general principles or laws that attempt to explain how and why something happens or has happened. Scientific study can be divided into 3 major groups: the natural, social and technical sciences. All sciences are closely interconnected.  Science has great influence on our lives. It provides the basis of modern technology-the tools and machines that make our life and work easier. Technology means the use of peoples inventions and discoveries to satisfy their needs. Industrial technology began about 200 years ago with the development of the steam engine, the growth of factories, and the mass production of goods. It influenced different aspects of peoples lives. The development of the car influenced where people lived and worked. Radio and television changed leisure time. The telephone revolutionized communication. Science has contributed much to modern technology.

The United states of America is fourth largest country in the world  in area.

The USA can be divided into 3 main regions. Many rivers are flowing through the country. The USA is rich in natural resources. The USA is the third largest country in the world  in the population. The national symbols of the USA include the American flag and the Great Seal. There are 50 stars on the American flag symbolizing 50 states of the USA, and 13 stripes representing 13 original states. The first President of the USA George Washington, in whose honour the city was named, chose the place for the capital. Washington’s only industry is government. The White House where the US President lives and works, the Capitol, the US Congress and the Supreme Court are all in Washington, D.C. If you go sightseeing in the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Washington, D.C. the first carefully planned capital in the world. The economic system of the USA can be described as a capitalistic, free market- oriented mixed economy, in which corporations and other private firms make the vast majority of microeconomic decisions and government prefer to make a minimal role in the domestic economy. Economic activity varies greatly across the country. The largest sector in the USA economy is service, which employs roughly 3 quarters of the work force.

 

The word theatre comes from a Greek word meaning a place for seeing. Theatre is one of the most complex arts. It requires many kinds of artists for its creation. These specialists include a playwright, performers, a director, a scene designer, and various technicians. For many productions composers, musicians, and a choreographer are needed. There are many people who love and visit different kinds of theatres: drama theatres, musical theatres, puppet theatres, opera and ballet houses. A successful theatrical events is an exciting and stimulating experience. There are a lot of theatres around the world. Music is one of the oldest arts. Nowadays, music takes many forms around the world. There are 2 chief kinds of music: classical and popular. Classical music includes symphonies, operas, and ballets. Popular music includes country music, folk music, jazz, rock music, etc.  Music plays a major role in other arts. Opera combines singing and orchestral music with drama. Ballet and other forms of dancing need music to help set mood and emphasize the action. Music plays an important part in all cultures and social activities.
